This chicken and rice dish is the ultimate Iranian comfort food. The beans are tender, the chicken flavorful and the rice chewy:

  • 1 cup of cooked chicken
  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1 pound of green beans
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 3 full tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • 1/2 tbsp of Pure Saffron spray
  • ¼ tsp black pepper


  1. Make the rice nice and fluffy before setting it aside
  2. Chop the chicken into cubes and heat oil in a skillet
  3. Toss in slices of onions and cook for a few minutes until soft
  4. Add the spices, water, tomato paste and beans without their water
  5. Stir, cook and cover before simmering for ten minutes
  6. Add the chicken and rice before covering and cooking for ten more minutes
  7. Season well with pepper and salt
  8. Enjoy hot!
